Detailed description is Custom fabrication and supply We're a job shop busy year round with a wide variety of work in plastics. While producing and supplying just about everything plastic needed on boats we also make, but not limited to making, custom display cases, furniture, motorcycle fairings, heavy equipment enclosures, cutting boards, trophies, art and sculpture mounts, scale models, and all sorts of home, kiosk, retail, and restaurant fabrications and details. . . Our usual work involves replacing acrylic (Plexiglas) and polycarbonate (Lexan) lenses on hatches, ports, and windscreens for boats. We use aceetal (Delrin) for producing sheaves, rudder bearings, and anchor rollers. U.V. stabilized hdpe (Starboard) is widely used for replacing wooden pieces. ABS is an excellent material for ceilings, headliners, and instrument panels. We fabricate and supply acrylic mirror. Polypropylene for holding tanks.. . We cut, form, machine, mill, sand, engrave, route, weld, paint, polish, design, deliver, instal, ship one offs and production runs to here and the world over. Some of our things have gone into space. No kidding. We did not arrange shipping for that. But my grandfather did engineer the boosters that got them there. U.S.'s version of Von Braun. . . We've made: Parade floats for Six Flags, the annual awards for The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County, black hdpe cutting boards for T.G.I.Fridays, 1/7 scale N.O.A.A. buoy models (one on display at Calvert Marine Museum), the windshield on the Miami Vice speedboat, the I Cradle prototype-70,000 units then produced, packaged, and shipped from China to every Target, Display cases for the Navy, Custom furniture for Amy Crane's fantastic Frank Loyd Wright designed house on display through an Annapolis Home tour org. . . We've moved this year to a new location that better suits our needs. With a power station just outside our back door we now have the juice we've needed to run our 3 axis C.N.C. router, vacuum pump, and all our usual 3 phase tools more efficiently. A new crew has come into form this year with Pete Katz as chief c.n.c. programmer/engineer, and Lance Laifatt specializing in painting, finishing, welding, and fiberglass/gel coat work. We now have a professional paint booth and are AWLGRIPPING away on hatch and port frames, mechanical aluminum components, and perhaps soon 7 enormous DARTH VADER helmets. We also now have a graphics shop next door making signage work a great deal simpler.. .
