Dakshin Dinajpur is categorised as Non-Intensive District under NRLM. . All the Sansad is covered by Upa Sangha and all the Gram Panchayats is covered by Sangha. There are total 64 nos. of Sanghas in this district.. The task of this office is multifarious and it is a continuous process. These are as follows-. 1. SHG formation, nurturing and facilitating. 2. Training : Basic Orientation Programme (BOP), Banking Training for SHG, Training of CSP &DLT, Bankers Orientation Programme, Capacity Building Training and various other Skill Training Programme like tailoring, Goatery, Dairy, Jute diversification, Beautician, etc. 3.Grading Exercise. 4.Credit Linkage. 5. Preparing Micro Investment Plan (MIP) for SHGs. 6. Livelihood promotion. 7. Marketing of SHG products through ‘Karmatirtha’ marketing outlets. 8. Nurturing and facilitating Village level and Block level Community Institution like Upa Sangha and Sangha. 9. Nurturing and facilitating Activity Cluster. Assisting rural artisans in various National, State and Local Melas. 10. Co-ordination with other Line Departments. 11. Co-ordination with all Banks in District. 12.
