Detailed description is In January, 2011, Amy Henslee, a young wife and mother from Hartford, Michigan, was tragically taken from her family and friends due to a senseless act of violence. Since that time, the community has pulled together in an effort to pick up the pieces left behind by this tragic act. Amy was a kind, generous, and caring person, well-known for the smile on her face and love in her heart. With that in mind, her friends and family wanted to keep her kindness alive by starting an organization dedicated to helping others in the community. Due to the efforts of countless volunteers, Amy’s Angels became a reality and has been making a difference ever since. Some of the projects that we are committed to in the Berrien/Cass/Van Buren County area include: . . Collecting funds for the Salvation Army’s emergency heat assistance program. Thanksgiving Baskets for families in need. Adopt-a-Family for Christmas. Amy Henslee Nursing Scholarship for Hartford High School. Emergency needs fulfillment for local families in crisis . .
