Detailed description is American River College Accelerated College Education (ACE) Program - a unique cohort program. designed for working and busy adults like you. What is ACE?. . ACE is a cohort program that allows you to complete a two-year set of courses as a unified group of students. As a cohort you have the opportunity to collaborate and learn from your fellow students over the course of your study. The cohort model fosters long-lasting relationships that can extend beyond the classroom. . ACE (Accelerated College Education) is designed for working adults who wish to complete 46 units of general education transfer and Associate degree requirements.. The program is made up of a pre-planned set of classes. Students enroll in two short-term classes every eight weeks during the semester, for a total of 12 units each semester. A new group of students begin the program each semester with the goal of completing the program in four semesters. . . Each week, students attend classes one weeknight and one Saturday at the Natomas Center. No classes are scheduled in the summer.. The cost of ACE is the same as any ARC class. Students pay the current $46 per unit fee. Note: Fees are set by the state legislature and are subject to change. For the most current fee information, click here.. . Parking at the Natomas Center requires a daily parking pass (available for purchase in the parking lot) or a semester permit (available for purchase at the Natomas Center.) . . The cost of books is not included as part of your fees. Textbooks will be sold at the Natomas Center during the first week of the semester. ACE students have access to all campus services, including the library, computer labs, counseling services, disabled student services, Learning Resource Center, Career Center, Transfer Center, and more.
