American River Charter School (ARCS) is a dependent charter school in the Black Oak Mine Unified School District (BOMUSD) consisting of two diverse programs:.

~ Our Site-based Program is located in Georgetown and focuses on creating independent thinkers in a positive cooperative school community using hands-on curriculum in multi-age classes.
We provide students in grades K-8 with an educational option which focuses on experiential, project- based instruction, an arts-infused curriculum, and a low student-adult ratio.
Our goal is for our students to become life long learners..

~ Our K-12 Homeschool Program provides homeschooling families with a variety of educational options.
Under the guidance of a supervising teacher, parents are able to chose educational resources to best meet their children's needs, participate in vendor classes, and attend group field trips.
