Detailed description is Amanda Storey LPCC, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, serving the Los Alamos area - adult and teen individual counseling (15 and up). I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from Southwestern College in Santa Fe in May of 2011. I gained a wide variety of clinical skills through the college. I completed my internship at Sky Center in Santa Fe, a family therapy 'teaching clinic'. . In December of 2011, I began work as a contract therapist for Los Alamos Family Council. Since then, I have worked with clients who came to counseling with a variety of reasons for seeking treatment. These reasons include anxiety, depression, trauma, divorce, substance abuse, family issues, self esteem, change of life issues, relationship issues, and more. I received my independent license in July of 2015 (LPCC) from the New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board. . My private practice will begin February 21st, 2017 and I am able to accept Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance at this time as well as out of pocket payments. .
