Founded on December 16, 1925 at Lafayette College, Alpha Phi Omega is a national, co-ed service fraternity that aims to uphold the values of leadership, friendship, and service. Since its founding, Alpha Phi Omega has become the single most represented undergraduate intercollegiate organization in the United States of America, with chapters at 358 (and counting) colleges across the country, an active membership of approximately 18000 students and over 350,000 alumni members. . . At The Johns Hopkins University, Alpha Phi Omega, Kappa Mu has been striving for service since its rechartering in 1998. Kappa Mu's impact in Baltimore is astounding: collectively, we perform over 1000 hours of community service per semester, spread out over several service projects, ranging from helping out at a soup kitchen to repairing homes to teaching English to the Spanish-speaking community. . . And while service is an integral part of Alpha Phi Omega, we also seek to create fellowship and leadership opportunities for Brothers.
