Detailed description is A public K-6 neighborhood school in the Anchorage School District.
Our K-6 elementary school is nestled in the picturesque Eagle River Valley just 12 miles north of Anchorage.
During the 2012-2013 school year we served 590 students in 23 classrooms including nearly 60% military.

Since opening its doors in 1995, Alpenglow has consistently demonstrated excellent academic outcomes.
More than this, however, Alpenglow is a community of families that support and take ownership in their school.
This provides a positive social environment for our students to learn and grow.
We are very fortunate to have a strong staff and PTA that supports student learning while offering activities including a renowned choir, band and orchestra, running club, winter sports, Battle of the Books, Spelling Bee, Math Derby (Champs last year), among others.
