Detailed description is Everyone:. . I’m the director of the veterans rights program at Albany Law School. I joined and helped found the group as a first year law student, eventually taking it over. For the last two years, we’ve provided free legal care through the help of approximately thirty firms to over two hundred veterans. As a vet myself, this program is something close to my heart, and I'm proud to see the students that become involved so frequently.. . On October 19th, we’re expanding from just legal services to providing all types of services. We’re still going to have over ten attorneys attend and provide legal care to veterans with appointments, but I’ve also invited several agencies to attend, including the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, New York Division of Veteran’s Affairs, Veteran’s Small Business Bureau, Legal Aide, Albany Housing Coalition, and more, with hopes to expand our services into employment, peer-to-peer mentoring through veteran’s courts, resume look overs, and even financial counseling. We're not stopping there of course, as I've reached out to businesses and agencies across the Capital region and beyond.. . The Vets service day is at Albany Law School, from 9am to 5pm, on October 19th, and there will be free raffles (donations from local businesses) and food.. . I’m sharing this on Facebook because most families have a veteran, be it son, father, uncle, aunt, or sister. If they have any legal needs, they can call. There’s no monetary requirement.
