Official Ahmet Rıfat Şungar Facebook page.9 Şubat 1983 yılında İstanbul’da dünyaya gelen Ahmet Rıfat Şungar, aslında İktisat ve işletme tarzında bölümlere ilgi duyuyordu ama bu bölümleri kazanamayınca arkadaşlarının da zorlamasıyla Konservatuar sınavlarına giriyor ve İstanbul Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuari Tiyatro Oyunculuğu Bölümünü kazanıyor.. . Oyuncu olarak ona ilk ekranda görüşümüz Star Tv‘de yayınlanan “Kaybolan Yıllar” dizisi ile oldu. Aydın Sayman‘ın yönettiği “Janjan” filmi ise oyuncunun sinema da ilk rolüdür. Bu sinema projesinden sonra “Hatırla Sevgili“ dizisinin 2. sezonunda Ali Demir karekterini canlandıran oyuncu, bu rolü ile geniş kitlere kendini yavaş yavaş tanıtmış oluyordu. Televizyon macerası “Asi” dizisinin 1.sezonunda bir kaç bölümde omasıyla devam ediyordu. Daha sonra oyunucunun kaderini değiştirecek sinema projesi geldi.. . Nuri Bilge Ceylan‘ın olay yaratan filmi “3 Maymun””un başarısından o da doğal olarak sorumlu tutuluyordu. Film, Türk ve Dünya basınının ilgi odağı oluyor ve başarısı dilden dile konuşuluyordu. Oyunculuğu ile o denli dikkat çekiyordu ki; Saraybosna Film Festivali’nde Kevin Spacey‘nin ilgisine mazhar oluyor, o sırada Londra’daki oyununa davet ediliyordu. Duru oyunculuğu ile bir çok kesimin dikkatini çeken Ahmet Rırat Şungar’ın bundan sonraki projeleri merakla beklenir olmuştu.. . 2009 senesi içersinde 2 sinema projesinde yer alan oyuncu, Onur Ünlü‘nün yönettiği “Beş Şehir” filminde oynadı. Dizi olarak ise Tims imzalı “Es-Es” Medyapım imzalı Bir Ömür Yetmez ve Merhamet dizisinde rol aldı.. . Merhamet dizisinin ardından Deniz Seviyesi filminde yer alan Şungar, 21. Altın Koza Film Festivalinde En iyi erkek oyuncu ödülüne de layık görülmüştür.. . Şuan Pazar akşamları saat 20:00'de Show Tv'de yayınlanan AH NERİMAN dizisinde MERT karakterine hayat veriyor.. .
