Detailed description is Apres Academy is a fun, structured after school program where our activities revolve around building self esteem. Includes horseback riding, tutoring, and Apres (Ap-pray) Academy is an After School Program like no other. With over 20 years experience in Early Childhood and Child Psychology, we implement lesson plans to bring out the very best in your school aged child. Activities are engaging and skill building, revolving around building self esteem, independence, self reliance, and compassion for peers, animals, and the world around us. 100% involved staff maintain a bully free environment, and a space where children are free to express themselves in a completely safe environment. . Apres Academy is located adjacent to South Bay Elementary on a 37 acre horse farm. The picturesque farm affords us the ability to expose our students to organic gardening, horse care, horseback riding, fresh air, and lots of exercise. We could have named this the Unplugged Academy, for the aspects of technology that are lending obesity to our children, and robbing them of the creative process, are not allowed.. In addition to the above, we offer tutoring, Painting/Drawing, French, Cooking, Piano lessons, homework help (for which we do have computers), field trips, non riding horse time, Chickens, indoor games in our huge game/activity room, and opportunity to give back by grooming and spending time with one of our several rescue horses. . Staff have completed hundreds of hours of Stars training and are CPR/First Aid Certified. . Limited Space Available. Introductory rate for first year $350/month. This includes Early Release Wednesdays. Extra Charge for non school days. Pick Up available at Pleasant Glade and Roosevelt Elementary. South Bay students delivered by bus.
