Detailed description is Tech Prep programs are provided through the Adams County schools, operating in concert with colleges and technical schools.
The Adams County Tech Prep Consortium (ACTPC) was formed in 1995.
The consortium includes Bermudian Springs, Conewago Valley, Fairfield, Gettysburg and Littlestown School districts.
In the 2013-2014 school year the consortium supports career programs with instruction for nearly 200 students.
The programs being offered are Allied Health, Culinary Arts, Law Enforcement/Police Science, Building Trades, Early Learning and Diesel Mechanics.
All programs provide advanced instruction in their subject area to juniors and seniors from the five districts.

Post-Secondary opportunities are accomplished through articulation agreements for credit with area colleges and universities.
In 2008 the Bureau of Career and Technical Education (BCTE) adopted a new design for tech prep programs identified as “Programs of Study” (POS).
