Adam Roderick is a Nationally Certified Counselor and an Associate Licensed Counselor.
He received a B.S.
in Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Education in Clinical Counseling from the University of Montevallo.
While at the University of Montevallo, he served as president of the Chi Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota International Honor Society and was named the Outstanding Graduate Student in the Counseling Program.
During graduate school, he completed internships at Impact Family Counseling, The Crisis Center, and The UAB Employee Assistance and Counseling Center.
During his time at The Crisis Center, he was certified in CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and received Suicide and Crisis Intervention Training.
He has worked as a primary therapist at an inpatient eating disorder treatment facility and currently provides services to students as an academic and career counselor.
He has worked in various settings addressing a myriad of issues including eating disorders, anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, weight and body image issues, career planning, academic success, and stress management.
He is a member of both the American Counseling Association and the Alabama Counseling Association..
