October 15th 2010-A day I'll never remember yet, a day I'll never forget. I was out celebrating with friends when I was hit by a car travelling at 60km/hr. . . Due to the extent of my injuries I was placed in an induced coma for 3 weeks. I had a traumatic brain injury, multiple broken/shattered bones including my femur, tibia and all the ribs on my left hand side not to mention the severe nerve damage. . I had metal nails placed into my legs to strengthen the bones that had been broken. . . I had to start my life from square one. Learning to walk again was simple compared to going through speech therapy to learn to talk again. . . During my rehabilitation experience I met some incredible people who inspired me to become what I am today and drive my passion for helping people. In a time where I felt at my lowest these people made me feel amazing and on top of the world. . . Now, this is what I want to do for others.
