My name is Abbi Brown, and I am a softball pitching instructor.
I provide pitching lessons for all ages at The Zone Training Facility in Florence, Alabama.
I have been giving pitching lessons for three years now.
I took pitching lessons under Cheri Kempf's "Club K" organization.
My pitching coaches were Kacey Ellis, Angela Tincher, and Sherri Dickens.
Angela Tincher was a pitcher at Virginia Tech University, and she is known for pitching a no-hitter against Team USA while in college.
Angela went on to play for the National Pro Fastpitch's Akron Racers.
Sherri Dickens played at Belmont University.
I started playing recreational ball at the age of nine, and then I began to play travel ball for North Alabama Kraze and Bama Bombers throughout my entire softball career.
I led the Bama Bombers to a 12u World Series Championship win as the number one pitcher.
I played at Brooks High School before I transferred to Lexington High School where I signed a full Presidential Athletic Scholarship to pitch as a starter for Miles College.
Due to a serious injury, I gave up my scholarship to stay here in Florence and attend the University of North Alabama.
I am now a psychology and criminal justice double major as well as a softball pitching instructor.
I teach proper mechanics, location, use of the power line, fastballs (inside and outside, high and low), change-ups (back door/flip, shove, horseshoe), drop balls (peel and turnover), curveballs (curve and drop curve), screwballs, and rise balls.
I look forward to working with your daughter while teaching injury-preventive, "Club K" mechanics!
