Detailed description is To celebrate and pay tribute to the African-American Performing Artists of our past, and to promote awareness for those who are unaware of the pioneering efforts of those same historical figures.
A&A Productions, LLC is an African American-American Performing Arts Company that produces works from all genres in the Performing Arts (i.e.
Opera, Music Theatre, Broadway, Stage and Multi-Media Acting and Dance.) The works we produce will differ in art forms, genres and dates of publication.

One of the primary goals of A&A Productions, LLC is to be a source of education for those who aren’t aware of the significance of the African-American Performer in the history of the Performing Arts.
The significant African-American contribution to the history of the Performing Arts is relatively unknown to many.
African Americans have been a prominent force in all genres of music for many centuries; and we want to make available this knowledge to our own culture as well as to all other cultures in our society..

The opportunities that we strive to offer prospective artists will be featured in the form of Outreach Projects, Black History Presentations, Juneteenth Tribute Celebrations and Fully Staged Productions of known, relatively known and unknown works.

As a part of our performance and outreach efforts we would like to offer workshops for public schools and any other venue that’s interested in learning about African-American History in the Performing Arts.
In our workshops, every facet of the selected artist’s life (i.e.
struggles, triumphs, etc.) will be discussed.

Our first theatrical production will be the original work, “Lift Every Voice and Sing: A Celebration of Black History through Music.” This is an original production that depicts Black History through music.
It shows the evolution of African-American Music from Slavery to Present Day.
It also gives a brief look into the lives of great Queens and Kings of our African ancestry..

In keeping with the goal of historical tributes, A&A Productions, LLC will host a yearly tribute celebration in honor of “Juneteenth.” “Juneteenth” is a very important day in African-American History.
June 19 or “Juneteenth” as it has been most memorably called is the day that the abolition of slavery in all of the Confederate States was finally at hand..

We will celebrate this day by paying tribute to Past and Present African- American Performing Artists through various events (i.e.
Jazz festivals, gospel concerts, operas, plays, conferences etc.) each year.
The type of celebration we choose to sponsor will greatly depend on the genre and artist we choose to celebrate that year .

We also will have a biannual event called The Marian Anderson Tribute Concert and Competition.
This is a three day event that is created to pay tribute to opera singer Marian Anderson and all of her record-breaking accomplishments, to monetarily assist young African-American and Woman Singers in their music ambitions and also to provide performance opportunity for emerging musicians..

There will be a series of events for many to participate in.
There will be a Masterclass for young singers, a competition and two receptions.
All of these activities are open to the public.
We plan to host the Gala Weekend at the Intercontinental Willard Hotel in Washington, DC.
We also plan to host a Concert on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to commemorate that memorable performance Marian Anderson did on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on Easter 1939..

Along with the other aforementioned events of the different seasons; the goal of the company is to produce 2-4 projects a year.
