It is run by Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara, presumably the largest educational institution in Asia, founded by the visionary Late Padmabhushan Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil. The college was established in June 1970 in the purview of the Sanstha’s splendid aphorism to educate students of farmers, workers, fishermen and saltpan workers of Raigad District, especially of Panvel, Pen, Uran and Khalapur tehsils. Our college was the sole option made available by the Sanstha of higher educational opportunities to the children of the aforesaid populace at the time of its establishment. It has successfully been marching ahead and taking efforts endlessly for the betterment of its stakeholders..
