Detailed description is Jim and Rita Spillers, along with our daughter Erin Spillers Rogers, began this venture a year ago, only recently getting our "official name" as "A Food A-Fair.".

We started out as "Jimmy's Concessions," doing our first promotion in September of 2011 serving cotton candy and snow-cones for McKinney Honda in Ruston, LA, at their fall promotion and later for their spring promotion.
We set up a booth for cotton candy at Bonnie & Clyde Festival in Arcadia, LA, in Sept of 2011, where we later expanded into grilling and frying foods.

Since then we have worked festivals; have done fund-raisers; did a promotion for the Ouachita Parish Library River Reads program; have done several promotions for car dealerships both in the Monroe region and in El Dorado, AR; did concessions for private birthday parties; and are booked for an upcoming wedding reception and more..

We only recently decided upon an "official" name for our business and got some banners and other material printed.
We got help from friends on helping us pick a name, and this one "stuck" with us most of all.

We like to cook and enjoy doing it "home-made," not store-bought, when possible.
We are currently working the Ark-La-Miss Fair in Monroe, LA, as a sponsor for the Jr.
Civitan Club, where we are serving: Louisiana Throwdown (our version of a popular chicken and veggie iron skillet stir-fry at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO); Cajun Boiler (hot sausage and fixings boiled in crawfish seasonings); Twisted Potatoes on a Stick; Potato Nachos; Grilled Chicken Salad; Strawberry Shortcake (with my homemade cake); Pudding Waffle Cones (my Momma's chocolate and banana pudding recipes); Fresh-Squeezed Lemonade; Fresh-Brewed Iced Tea; and more..
