It was an old movie theater build in the 1930's..
Ever wished you could be in a Horror Movie? Be careful what you wish for! The 6th Street Massacre Haunted House looks like a horror movie, feels like a horror movie, until you find yourself trapped in a Horror Movie with no way out.
How does it all end? You won't know until the final scene.
The Sixth Street Massacre Haunted House is as immersive, as in your face as you can handle! Think we can't scare you? Come to the Historic Route 66 Amarillo World Premiere of the 6th Street Massacre in the abandoned movie theater on 6th Street and find out that WE CAN! Many of our scenes from last year has been torn down and re-designed by full time personnel that have been working since November of last year.
Our team is headed by a theater set designer who has over 11 years of experience.
Each set is completely unique and has some flavor of a movie theater or a movie from the past.
After a year of planning, this year's haunt is better than ever.
A new outdoor, 2000 square feet graveyard that boasts a 1940 Cadillac Hearse as it's centerpiece along with a 6 foot freshly dug grave.

1) How did you develop the concept for your new Chainsaw Massacre attraction?.
.
While the name of Chainsaw Massacre implies it is based on a movie, it is not.
We have always used the word "Massacre" in all our names over the years and the haunt is outside the city like the movie (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and chainsaws are synonymous to haunted houses.
With the country feeling of being outside the city, we wanted to give it a wide open place with spacious scenes and hallways giving the customer a feel openness like being in an actual home outside the city, missing the comforts of city lights and the security of being in your hometown.

2) What are a couple of the major differences between .
Chainsaw Massacre and Sixth Street Massacre?.
.
We wanted the attraction to be as different as possible from the one we own on 6th street.
6th Street Massacre (6SM) is very high tech and is based on themes from movies since the building is a former movie theater.
From video screens, collapsing hallways, a scene that simulates an earthquake and a mirror maze at 6SM to a multi-level, dark, physical attraction that feels like you are in an actual house at Chainsaw.
Chainsaw is a full contact haunted house where our actors will touch you.
We do have rules, only allowing actors to touch the knee area and below and above the shoulders while 6SM is a non-touch haunt.

3) What are your plans for future expansion for these attractions?.
.
If you aren't growing, your dying is my philosophy.
Since our first year we have always been in growth mode.
Our second year of having a home haunt (over 10 years ago), we moved from the porch scaring kids to the garage the next year, accumulating and experience and props while always trying to make it better.
We now have full time employees that work on the haunts all year around.
I have a master plan/vision in my head of expanding Chainsaw to have a second attraction.
We have more space in that location than we have ever had in the past and being outside the city gives us the freedom to do almost anything we want.
We are very excited with expansion ideas not only to the haunt itself but to the dates we are open during the year.
The outdoor area will be expanded to include entertainment with year around fun.

4) Is Sixth Street Massacre really haunted?.
.
Pampa Texas Paranormal Research Society along with a couple of other paranormal investigation groups have conducted many investigations in the same manner seen on TV shows like Ghost Hunters.
I was skeptical at first of their finding but after witnessing different groups of investigators conclude with almost duplicate results, I am a believer that it is indeed haunted.
An example of the findings are that there is a little girl's spirit living in the building.
She plays games with us and gets angry when we don't come visit the building at least once a week.
This season, one of our actors had their own child up at the haunt and their child told us that a little girl kept asking her to come play with her but there were no other children at the haunt at that time.
A couple of years ago, The A&E show, My Ghost Story, profiled the the ghost investigation results on national TV.
Former maintenance people of the Chainsaw building said there have been many unexplained events occur in the building.
We have only owned the building for a short time but we do have plans to bring in investigators to check it out.
