Luis Delgado has lived an extraordinary life.
He was born in Caguas Puerto Rico and moved to the U.S.
when he was 7 years of age.
As a young boy, his level of determination was evident.
His primary language was Spanish and he pressed through the language barrier to be successful in grade school.
As a young teen, Luis found himself engaging with a culture where smoking marijuana was common and accepted..

After graduating high school, Luis joined the U.S.
Army and was on the first wave of deployments to Afghanistan in 2001.
Once Luis completed his term in the Army he moved to South Carolina where he found himself opening his very first business...an automobile detail shop.
Luis seemed to be successful on the outside but his addiction to drugs got stronger over time.
Finally, life’s paths led him to Birmingham, Alabama where he would meet his wife Samantha and open his first restaurant..

Miami Café became very popular in the local area and Luis displayed his determination by starting the restaurant with next to nothing, to eventually having over 1,000 regular customers.
Even with the success of the business, Luis was still empty on the inside, which resulted in him digging that hole of addiction even deeper.
His addiction was now taking up most of his attention that the success of his business came to a screeching halt.

Luis would find himself for the next two years spiraling further and further into that black hole of addiction, causing him to lose his family and ultimately become homeless.
His sheer determination would turn out to be the main thing that helped him survive that horrible season.
Tired and burned out, Luis hit the wall, only this time it was the wall of freedom! He decided that he needed help to get his life turned around, but was scared of the unknown and the uncharted territory in his life.
God blessed him with a full scholarship for the rehab program at the Turning Point Foundation in Thorsby Alabama.
This is where Luis’ life was changed!.

Shortly after being there, he realized this is the place he would find the rest, peace and freedom he was desperately seeking, but most importantly he found Jesus.
For the first time Luis was determined to go all in and give everything he had to follow Jesus, which he would find out was the best decision he could ever make.
Luis successfully graduated the program and now has a burning passion to give back to the people and the program that changed him..

Luis and Samantha were married in 2010 and have a total of 5 children.
As they have journeyed through marriage and parenting, they have experienced the pain of over 20 divorces, drug addiction, depression, brokenness, rejection and much more.
With the recovery and freedom they both have received they are focused on starting the first bi-lingual rehab in the state of Alabama.
Their desire is to give anyone the opportunity to get help from the abuse of drug addiction and show them what living life really is.
In addition to helping those who struggle with drug addiction, Luis and Samantha will be helping to reunite and bring reconciliation and healing to the entire family.
