May 27, 2021 at 12:19 PM HOBOKEN, NJ - 7shifts, an innovative labor management platform for restaurants, has announced that it raised $21.5 million in Series B funding led by Enlightened Hospitality Investments (EHI), the growth equity fund affiliated with Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG). Founded by restaurateur and industry visionary Danny Meyer in 1985, USHG operates some of New York City’s most beloved restaurants including Gramercy Tavern and Union Square Cafe. EHI was formed in 2016 to make strategic investments in best-in-class companies that have excellent management teams and corporate cultures. EHI’s investment follows a very successful implementation of 7shifts across USHG’s portfolio of cafes, bars and restaurants and will add EHI to 7shifts’ Board of Directors. The round also includes participation from existing investors Ten Coves Capital, Relay Ventures, and Conexus Venture Capital.

As reported in the March 2021 issue of Banking Northeast, the Rivel survey ranks Kearny Bank’s overall response fourth among all New Jersey banks. These results are based on responses to 81,342 online interviews conducted by Rivel from July 2020 to January 2021. Two-Alarm Fire on Washington Street in Hoboken

HOBOKEN, NJ - Crews battled a two-alarm fire in Hoboken on Thursday. Just before 5:00 p.m., Hoboken Fire Department units responded to an active fire at 529 Washington Street, right in the heart of the city s main thoroughfare. HFD have indicated that the fire is now under control, and no victims have been reported. According to the City of Hoboken, Washington Street is closed to traffic in both directions at 5th Street due to the fire. Buses are currently diverted to Bloomfield Street and Hudson Street.
