Before she arrived at Haverford High School, Emma Taylor was told she was different than most kids her age.
Taylor was seen as a person mature beyond her years. Smart, caring, and responsible, she had a good head on her shoulders.
It’s no wonder, then, that Taylor emerged as a team leader back in 2019, her freshman softball season. She started and completed the majority of games from the mound that year, helping the Fords win a Central League championship and advance to the state tournament for the first time in program history.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA Six Delaware County high schools have been named among the best schools in Pennsylvania, with two in the top 20, according to a new ranking from U.S. News and World Report.
Radnor High School was ranked the highest among Delaware County high schools, coming in at No. 4 statewide and No. 265 nationally.
Strath Haven High School was the second-highest ranked Delaware County high school, earning the No. 16 spot in the state and No. 627 nationwide.

Haverford High School was ranked among the state s top 25 high schools and the third best of all Delaware County high schools. (Shutterstock) HAVERTOWN, PA Haverford High School placed among the top 25 schools in Pennsylvania, according to a new ranking from U.S. News and World Report.
The school ranked 21st overall in the state in the latest ranking, which compares more than 17,800 public high schools nationwide. It was ranked No. 731 nationwide, as well.
Haverford High School was ranked the third highest out of all Delaware County high schools, behind Radnor High School at No. 4 and Strath Haven High School at No. 16.
