Hershey Area Playhouse will host open house event for theater’s reopening

Following a shutdown for COVID-19, another local theater will open its doors again.
The Entr’acte event will be held on May 15 from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Hershey Area Playhouse, and will act as both a fundraiser and a welcome back to the community.
Visitors are invited to bring a blanket to sit on the Playhouse lawn and join in activities including a game-show style presentation of Broadway showtunes and audience participation through karaoke. The playhouse building will also be open for tours.

The Domestic Violence Intervention of Lebanon County (DVI) Board of Directors has appointed LeAnne Burchik and Mike Ritter to the positions of Executive Director and Deputy Director, respectively.
The DVI is a nonprofit organization that provides free services to victims of domestic violence, including counseling, emergency shelter, and a 24-hour hotline. The organization also offers public education presentations and programs for schools.
Burchik will succeed eight-year Executive Director Jennifer Snyder in the position. Burchik holds a J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law and a B.A. in English from California University of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and is a member of the Lebanon County Bar Association.
