Town have turned down an attempt by Birmingham City to take Hermann Hreidarsson on loan. TWTD has been reporting Steve Bruce s interest in the Icelander since late November.
Yesterday the Blues accepted a fee of £1.5 million including bonuses for Jamie Clapham, a move the versatile 27-year-old is thinking over.
Despite Town s need to reduce the wage bill the move for Hreidarsson, who turned down a switch to West Brom in the summer, was rejected by Joe Royle.
Steve Bruce has had a representative at innumerable Town games over the last few months, including the away leg of the UEFA Cup tie with Slovan Liberec.
