(WTVA) - A Chickasaw County firefighter gets rewarded for her volunteerism to keep her community safe. The Mississippi Firefighter s Association recognized Houlka Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jo Cross as the firefighter of the year. The award was presented during the 84th annual awards ceremony in Biloxi on June 26. The MFA honored Cross for her act of bravery and service to others. Watch the interview in the video above.
