Duo fled with Rs 29L cash after triggering explosion
In a movie-like break and steal sequence, unidentified thieves blew up and looted an
ATM in Chakan MIDC and ran away with the money in the wee hours of Wednesday. The two unidentified burglars used an explosion to loot Rs 29 lakh from an unmanned ATM of
Hitachi Payment Services around 2.30 am in an area under
Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).
Cops said no guidelines were followed by the bank concerned as they neither had CCTVs installed on the premises nor an alarm system to report the burglary attempt.
