The Hitching Lot Farmers’ Market will holds its grand opening on Saturday morning, Main Street Columbus announced this week.
The market, located at the Hitching Lot on Second Avenue North, will be open 7-10 a.m., with activities ranging from yoga to a petting zoo and, at 9 p.m., a music parade for children led by Edwina Williams, a.k.a. Mother Goose, said market coordinator Katherine Lucas.
After a year of social distancing and modified layout of the market, Lucas said this year’s farmers’ market will feel a little more typical. While last year, the COVID-19 pandemic had everyone masked and vendors facing toward the parking lot so that customers could spread out there, this year the vendors and customers will be back under the awning, though she said the vendors’ tables will be moved back to give customers a little more room. There will also be children’s activities on some day
