It’s been more than a year since the pandemic has kept audiences from gathering in person for theater. During that time, theater makers have pivoted to online programming with intimate short stories, innovative Zoom offerings and audio plays to bring us together while we were apart.

Charlie Baker has also eased COVID restrictions in the commonwealth, paving the way for a return to normalcy and a return to the theater. Of course, there are still virtual offerings from the Huntington Theatre Company and New York’s Public Theater, among others, for those who aren’t comfortable or aren’t able to venture out just yet.
