When a young student by in the British Columbia province of Canada lost his tooth in his classroom during school hours, the school s Vice Principal saved the day.

Much like Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy is an important fictional character in the lives of children in Western countries or cultures. Putting one s milk teeth under the pillow after losing it for the Tooth Fairy to take and in return give the kid a gift has almost become a right of passage for children.
"Please accept this letter as official verification as a lost tooth and provide the standard monetary exchange that you usually use for a real tooth," Shandee Whitehead wrote.

Seeing how upset Gavin Jensen was after losing his tooth in class, Shandee Whitehead wrote a formal plea to the fabled fairy to make sure the five-year-old got his due reward.

BC vice-principal writes letter to Tooth Fairy after student loses tooth at school
Whether you see it or not, most early childhood educators are going above and beyond every day to shape the next generation.
There’s no better example of that than what a vice-principal from Prince George did earlier this week for a student who lost his tooth.
Young Gavin, a student at Hart Highlands Elementary School, lost his tooth while he was getting ready to eat lunch on Tuesday.
Unfortunately, the tooth was lost in the classroom and it was not found, despite what the school’s vice-principal, Shandee Whitehead, called “the heroic efforts of a fearless search team.”
