A vodka-fuelled rapist who subjected a child to grave sexual abuse and four people who hunted down a doting dad and murdered him were just some of the criminals locked up in the region in April.
Greater Manchester courts gave out hefty prison sentences for all manner of crimes last month.
Other offenders put behind bars include a road rage thug who left a man for dead and a paedophile who asked his victim s mum not to tell police he sexually assaulted her child.

Manchester Crown Court (Picture: PA) A DRUG dealer who was found driving with no insurance has been jailed. Husnain Ali, of Rishton Lane, Great Lever, admitted to being in possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply, obstructing police and driving with no insurance. The 28-year-old was sentenced to three years in prison at Manchester Crown Court on Friday, March 5. He was also disqualified from driving for two-and-a-half years. The conviction comes after police pulled over a suspicious vehicle in Little Hulton in April last year and a quantity of suspected drugs and cash were found.
