Georgia-based real estate firm buys Charleston Town Center mall

CHARLESTON — A Georgia-based real estate firm has purchased the Charleston Town Center mall, the group announced in a press release Monday The Hull Property Group, based out of Augusta, Georgia, is buying the property, which went on the market Feb. 3. The release did not provide a buying price. “We are excited to join the Charleston community and own our first property in West Virginia. The Charleston Town Center can and should continue to be a viable shopping and dining destination,” said Jim Hull, owner of Hull Property Group. “Our goal is to reposition Charleston Town Center by working with Charleston leaders and downtown property owners to create a successful future for not only the mall but the entire downtown area. The first step is to address the exit of national retailers from downtown Charleston while we work together to develop the path forward.”

Appearing on 580-LIVE with Goodwin, Jim Hull, the Owner and Managing Principal of the Hull Property Group expressed excitement with the move from his group to come to the capital city.  “We are so excited about joining the Charleston community. That will entail us having our first property in West Virginia. We think there is so much to be accomplished and it’s going to be a fun ride,” Hull said to Goodwin and 580-LIVE host Dave Allen.

Danville Mall launches holiday search for next great pop-up shop

The Danville Mall announced today the launch of its holiday search for Danville’s Next Great Pop-Up Shop. Open to businesses of all types, the search will grant one lucky winner a pop-up space in the Danville Mall this holiday season.   The search is a partnership with the American Dream Project, an initiative that connects entrepreneurs with brick-and-mortar spaces by working with property owners to facilitate the vision of new and expanding American businesses.
