Dec 29, 2020 Harold D. “Huck” Snyder, 89, of Bethesda, Ohio, passed away at his home, peacefully, on December 27, 2020. Born February 9, 1931 in Calais, Ohio, he was the son of the late George and Mildred Pierce Snyder. In addition to his parents, Huck was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Sandra Snyder and brother, George Snyder. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Huck proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was instrumental in starting the Bethesda VFW Post 9712. He was a Life Member at Large of the VFW, Life member of the American Legion, Commander of Belmont County Council, and All State Commander. Huck was a member of the Bethesda Church of Christ, loved boating and fishing, enjoyed traveling to Canada for several fishing trips, and was an avid animal lover. He took great joy in entertaining with his singing and playing guitar.
