Show a little love for Mother Nature.
She s always been there to sustain us, and she s been a source of comfort and peace especially during the pandemic, when outdoor pursuits such as gardening, hiking and biking helped keep us sane.
Earth Day is Thursday, April 22, and there are plenty of local events celebrations, concerts, educational programs, cleanups, workdays, recycling to mark the occasion.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL Downers Grove voters made their way to the polls Tuesday to elect new members for the village board of trustees. Uncontested races were also held for Downers Grove Grade School District 58 and Community High School District 99.
In DuPage County, the polls closed at 7 p.m. and results are starting to come in. Patch will keep you posted with up-to-the-minute results for the Downers Grove election and will send a news alert when the projected results have been confirmed. Refresh this article for updates.
