DHAKA, March 6, 2021 (BSS)-Bangladesh national cricket team selector Habibul Bashar Sumon who is with the team in the New Zealand tour claimed the cricketers had already coped with the condition, which is arguably tougher for any visiting country from Asian region.
“The important thing was to adjust with the condition of New Zealand for us,” Bashar said in a recorded video message sent by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) from Christchurch today.
“We have got enough time to cope with the condition and the facilities here are fantastic.” Bangladesh was in room quarantine for the first three days here after their arrival and thereafter they got the opportunity to train in small groups. They will continue such sort of training till the 14th day of their quarantine after which the visitors will set a five-day camp in Queenstown.

He left the field with four records during the course of his 115-run knock that set an improbable 395-run target for West Indies to win the Test.

DHAKA, Jan 31, 2020 (BSS) The possibility is slim for uncapped Yasir Ali Rabbi and Hasan Mahmud to play any match in the ensuing two-match Test series against West Indies unless anyone gets injured or becomes sick.
But still it’s the opportunity for them to stake a claim in the national team, said selector Habibul Bashar Sumon.
Bashar, also one of the most successful Bangladesh captains, reasoned that they would have the opportunity to understand the team culture and cope with the environment by sharing the dressing room with the national stars, which will eventually make them mentally prepared.

The Bangladesh cricket is likely to see a new tournament in its calendar in the form of Bangabandhu T20 Cup, which was held for the first time in the last year, reports BSS.
The Bangabandhu T20 Cup organized in November-December was the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) initiative for a gradual resumption of the cricket after Covid-19-induced lengthy break.
Alongside the national team regulars a number of young cricketers showed their prowess in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup, much to the elation of the BCB top brass.
