Now on the 7th day of Reed s appeal hearing, the state calls two forensic pathologists to the stand to share their opinions on Stacey Stites s death.
BASTROP, Texas - For the state, Dr. Suzanna Dana took the stand Tuesday morning.
Dana’s testimony fit the narrative of the state’s 3:00-5:00 am time of death window, but she also said time of death estimates are not an exact science.
During cross examination the defense argued that contextual evidence, and hearsay could have impacted her opinion.

It all began with the state calling in Sergeant Brian Seals from the state attorney general s office. His testimony was trying to question the memory of Richard Scroggins, who testified last week about seeing a photo of Jimmy Fennell in a newspaper article.
