Manly pleaded guilty to the nine remaining charges on a new indictment. The Crown prosecutor told the court that some residents felt terrified by the incidents, even considering moving their families when the explosive devices being found over six months.

New degree strikes chord with aspiring musos

Sebastian Webber has enrolled in the new Bachelor of Music course at USQ Springfield. Aspiring musos can now enrol for the Springfield Campus’s Bachelor of Music program, thanks to a partnership between the uni and Woodcrest State College. It is the first time the degree has been offered at USQ in its 50-year history, and Mr Webber couldn’t be more excited. “This opportunity has really helped because I am learning about the guitar and developing my own music,” he said.

The married couple of 15 years recently welcomed the first patients to their Wellness Medical and Skin Cancer Clinic. Dr Amrita Dhital and Dr Sudeep Dhital recently opened the Wellness Medical and Skin Cancer Clinic in Springfield Central. They hope to bring their own personal touch to the burgeoning community with Springfield’s population set to explode in the coming years.

95 businesses closed: Qld region hardest hit in tough year

Business by Chris Herde Premium Content   THE number of new business in Queensland rose last year with sole traders becoming an increasingly important part of the job market during a period marked by the coronavirus lockdown. Xero Boss Insights 2021 report, authored by demographer Bernard Salt, found that across Australia there was a net increase of about 47,000 new business in Australia who gained an ABN number. According to the report, Queensland accounted for 7358 new businesses with Greater Brisbane making up about 4900 or a 2.4 per cent rise in the 12 months ending in June last year. Over that period there were 1590 new business registered on the Gold Coast and 876 added on the Sunshine Coast.
