Currey-Stamps, Bonita “Bonnie” Saturday, February 6, 2021 Bonita “Bonnie” Currey-Stamps passed away peacefully on February 3, 2021 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was born Bonita Lee Peterson on Sept. 29, 1946, in Moline, Il., to parents LeRoy and Edna. Living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she married Tom Currey in 1967 and moved to Chattanooga, his hometown, where they raised four children. She later married John Stamps in 2010. Bonnie spent much of her life dedicated to medical and mental health initiatives, having started her calling volunteering and committing her time to many local organizations, including serving as the president of both the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Auxiliary and the Mental Health Associated of Greater Chattanooga.

Crick, Jesse Caleb Thursday, January 14, 2021 Jesse Caleb Crick Jesse Caleb Crick, 34, passed into eternal life on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, after a brief illness. Born in Tbilisi, Nadzaladevi, Georgia (then part of USSR), he came to this country in 1996, proudly earning his citizenship in 2008. He was a longtime member of the AIM Center and of Chattanooga Primitive Baptist Church, drawing strength and family from both communities. He was preceded in death by his confidante and mentor, Connie Plavich and spiritual mentor, Joe Hildreth, and is survived by many other friends who became family, including Virginia Hildreth, Eddy Flick, and pastors Andrew Huffman and James Hindman (and families) of CPBC; Elizabeth Hendrix, Denise Carlson, Jim McClure, and Judy Mogul of AIM Center; and Lucie and Lisa Wileman (and family).

Smith, Sadie Norman Tuesday, January 12, 2021 Sadie Norman Smith Sadie Norman Smith, 79, passed away January 2, 2021 in Chattanooga.  She was born to the late Homer Eugene Norman, Sr. and Flora Mae (Hinton) Norman. Sadie was a native of Polk Co., Ga.  When the family moved to Chattanooga in 1945,  Sadie attended Joseph B. Smith School, East 5th Street School and Orchard Knob Elementary School.  She attended Howard High School the Class of 1959.    After graduating Howard, she attended a three-year diploma program at Grady Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Atlanta, GA.  It was said if you had a GRADY NURSE you had a well trained nurse.  Sadie functioned in various roles: Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Supervisor, Head Nurse, Staff Nurse, Assistant Head Nurse in Medical – Surgical , Nursery, Recovery and Intensive Care Units.
