PETALING JAYA: Dafi the poodle will be happily reunited with its owner after going missing for 10 days thanks to a group of motorcyclists who rode to the dog s rescue while it ran through busy traffic in the heart of the city.
In a video that went viral on social media on Monday (April 26), the riders are seen tailing the dog in an attempt to capture it and keep it from being accidentally run over by passing vehicles.
At one point, one of the motorcyclists is seen getting off his machine and running after the dog.
The man lunges for the poodle in an attempt to capture it, only to end up lying flat on the road when the dog evades him.
PETALING JAYA: There once was a little lost poodle named Dafi, who had no idea that it would bring out the best in Malaysians and unite many as a whole.
One seemingly normal Monday (April 26) morning, Dafi - missing for 10 days, according to its owner - was spotted running along the busy streets of Kuala Lumpur.
Recognising the hazard the situation posed, motorists and motorcyclists were seen tailing the dog in an attempt to capture it and keep it from being accidentally run over by passing vehicles.
Videos of the incident quickly went viral on social media, and the riders and motorists who were involved were praised to the skies for their bravery and goodwill.
Beh said he was happy to be free and home. I am really happy to have seen my father at the airport. It was great seeing him again, said Beh, who is currently being quarantined at the Rainbow Paradise Hotel in Tanjung Bungah, for the government-mandated quarantine for foreign arrivals.
Beh, who has not seen his father in a while, was thrilled to finally meet him in person.
He escaped the noose on Oct 13,2020, after the Singapore Court of Appeal cleared him of a capital drug charge, finally walking out a free man on Tuesday (March 9).
The Straits Times reported that Beh was released after the same panel of judges dismissed a bid by prosecutors to proceed with the trial of four other non-capital charges against him.
