POLICE have confirmed officers removed several posters erected in Derry purporting to reveal the name of Bloody Sunday paratrooper Soldier F.
They were put up in various locations around the city, including Guildhall Square, and were also widely distributed on social media despite a court order banning the naming of the former soldier.
The director of public prosecutions (DPP) met families on Friday to confirm that murder cases against Soldier F and Soldier B were being discontinued. Soldier F was facing two murder charges in respect of the Bloody Sunday killings of William McKinney and Jim Wray. He was also expected to be charged with the attempted murder of Joseph Friel, J

The families of three people killed in Derry in 1972 have vowed to continue their fight for justice after it was announced the prosecutions of two soldiers accused of the killings would be discontinued.
