Advertisement One of the men nabbed over the infamous tomato tins ecstasy haul has failed to overturn his conviction after he appealed partly due to the involvement of barrister-turned-informer Nicola Gobbo in his case. Jan Visser was jailed for at least eight years in 2014 after being found guilty of conspiring to possess 15 million ecstasy tablets stashed in tomato tins shipped on the MV Monica from Italy in 2007.
