Edwardstow Court Care Centre in Stow-on-the-Wold is one of 16 homes and extra care housing that The Orders of St John Care Trust have in Gloucestershire.
Choosing a care home is an important decision for every family, as we all want to ensure the best for our loved ones, but with so many considerations to take into account, SoGlos talked to Edwardstow Court Care Centre about exactly what people should consider researching care homes.
The trio, Sara Cryer, Pippa Lewis and Olivia Barnard, have been welcomed. Sara, new home manager, said she was really enjoying her role and getting to know everyone, residents and team alike. An experienced manager in the care sector, ahe previously worked for a number of organisations specialising in caring for those living with dementia. Also new to Athelstan House is head nurse, Pippa Lewis. She is enjoying building relationships with residents, their families, friends and work colleagues to provide care. Her previous nursing experience was gained in Vancouver, Canada where she lived for 18 years. Completing the trio is nurse, Olivia. She trained at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital after completing three years’ study at King’s College, London.
