IG gives away cash, certificates to injured cops

LAHORE:Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani distributed Rs500,000 each and CC-1 certificates among 11 injured Lahore and Sheikhupura police personnel during a ceremony held on Thursday at Central Police Office (CPO) here.
Addressing the injured police officials, the IG Punjab said that just as the brave martyrs are the foreheads of Punjab Police, so are the Ghazis who were injured while performing their professional duties. He said steps would be continued for their best care and welfare in future.
He said ceremonies would be organised in their districts to encourage the injured officers and personnel across Punjab where they would be awarded cash prizes and certificates of appreciation. Peshawar, March 15, 2021 (PPI-OT): The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi today visited the residence of Shaheed Additional SHO Niaz Muhammad at Godar Kalay Jamrud District Khyber where he expressed his deep grief and sorrow with the members of the bereaved family and offered fateha for the departed soul. It may be recalled that Additional SHO Niaz Muhammad embraced martyrdom while his two other colleagues police officials got injured in an action against dreaded narcotics peddlers.

Mohmand Press Club, the first press club of former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), has been in the grip of a severe financial crisis after the merger of the tribal districts in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
It has been unable to pay even its utility bills as previously it received a meager grant of Rs35,000 per month from the political agent, enabling it to pay its bills and provide the much needed internet at the press club for the local journalists as well as pay its employees.
