With a lot of crazy action aboard the train the last time around, I’m really impressed with how well Elliot Kalan has managed to script this to make that sequence as engaging as it was. And for Andrea Mutti to illustrate it in a way that keeps your attention. The Maniac of New York has been a strong book in its first two installments and that does largely carry through here, even if things are padded out just a touch. It’s done to add to the overall level of tension and Elliot Kalan handles it well so that we get to know a bit more about Zelda and Cara while on the hunt for the killer.
