미국 뉴욕에 본부를 둔 국제 인권단체 휴먼 라이츠 워치는 23일 홈페이지에 올린 성명에서 중국 내 소식통들이 제공한 정보를 취합한 결과 중국 정부가 현재 탈북민 등 최소한 북한 주민 1천 170명을 구금하고 있는 것으로 추산된다고 밝혔습니다.
범죄행위로 기소돼 지린성 창춘의 수감시설에 복역 중인 북한 남성 450명을 포함해 투먼의 탈북민 325명, 창바이 47명, 린장 104명, 단둥 189명, 선양에 64명 등이 수감돼 있다는 겁니다.
