Kris Corey Superintendent Kris Corey has over 30 years of experience in education. Her career began when she was recruited to California from South Dakota to teach at the elementary level. After 13 years in the classroom, Kris entered administration. She has served as an assistant principal, elementary principal, Director of Elementary Education, and Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services prior to becoming superintendent of the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District. Kris graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development. She received her Master’s Degree from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California, in Educational Leadership. She is a fierce advocate for students and believes every student should be career and college ready upon graduation.
