This week, the Parents Empowering Parents Society (PEP) launched its toll-free phone line to support families in Red Deer and Lethbridge who are struggling with the effects of substance use in youth and adult children.

In October,
The News reported the Sherwood Park non-profit received a $100,000 grant from Alberta Health Services in order to provide services to more Albertans through a new online meeting and a 1-800 number.
By expanding these services, it’s hoped that the organization will reach more people during and after the pandemic.
