But environmentalist groups are leading the charge, hoping the new administration will boot the grazing competition on any public lands. More than 70 groups have sent a letter to the Biden Administration’s new Interior Secretary, asking that all livestock grazing allotments that overlap designated herd management areas (HMAs) be canceled. The letter, dated April 9, claims that the removal of the cattle will “promote rapid progress toward” establishing a “Thriving Natural Ecological Balance” for all species occupying federal rangelands. ....
