McCoy will appear virtually in Trigg County Circuit Court for arraignment Wednesday. He was not arrested on the murder and other charges from the death of Barnett until September 30.
McCoy was arrested on September 22, following a traffic stop by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office near the intersection of U.S. 68 and Blue Springs Road, but was charged with an active warrant from another case, drug-related charges, and in relation an EBT card in his possession that was not his.
In addition, McCoy was indicted by a Lyon County Grand Jury last week on charges of receiving stolen property under $10,000, second-degree arson, and first-degree persistent felony offender.
