KHUZDAR: The water level in Hub Dam has reached 335 feet due to heavy torrential rains in Darjeeling, Rohna, Shah Noorani and catchment areas of Hub River that flooded vast areas.
After filling the dam, water will be discharged from the spillway. The water level has reached just four feet short of the dam’s actual level.
Officials of the irrigation department said that rains were continuing and more flash floods were expected in the area. However, the spillway of the dam would be opened if water level reached the danger level and extra water would flow into the sea.
