Alan Quilligan (28) from Eagle Valley, Wilton in Cork had been charged with burglary by entering a house at Dunard, Mayfield in Cork with intent to commit assault, assault causing harm to Nicole O’Leary and criminal damage to a car belonging to Keith Greaney at the house on January 20
th 2020.
Jason Quillgan (26) of the same address was charged with aggravated burglary by entering the house at Dunard, Mayfield armed with a machete with intent to commit assault, assault causing harm to Keith Greaney and criminal damage to Mr Greaney’s car at the same address on the same date.

A MARRIED COUPLE who created sixty false identities, donned disguises and paid homeless people for their PPS numbers in order to defraud banks and credit unions of several hundred thousand euro have been jailed for four and two years.
Former solicitors Keith Flynn (46) who was jailed for four years, and Lyndsey Clarke (37) who was jailed for two years, previously pleaded guilty to fraud charges at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
A 31 year old Macroom man has been jailed for 13 years for an unprovoked assault where he kicked and stamped on the head of a 75 year old man who spent almost a year in hospital and has now been forced to go into a nursing home as he can no longer look after himself.
Jonathan O Driscoll, with an address at Coolcower House, Macroom but originally from Dan Corkery Place in the town, pleaded guilty to assault causing harm to Christy O Callaghan, then aged 73, at Sleaveen East, Macroom on March 21st 2019.
This week at Cork Circuit Criminal Court, Det Garda Alan O Sullivan told how Mr O Callaghan had gone to Kinsale for a meal with his partner before he dropped her back to Blarney before heading home to Macroom when the assault happened.
